Rare and spectacular! Turn of the century set of Hoop Handle Brass boat's navigation lanterns in wonderfully restored condition. These were lanterns made, each by a different firm, to the specifications of the New England Yacht Racing Association. The design was for Class II (16' to 26') and Class III (26' to 40') boats. Of course the hoop design is to provide a cool handle for carrying a hot lantern.
Originally oil fired, the 1890 lanterns are newly wired with LED bulbs for showy beauty when lit up on your mantel.
It is rare to find a design-matching set of the Hoop Handle lanterns in such great condition.
