Great old nautical antique! Hand-held solid brass "Boat Signal" lantern with "bulls eye" lens. These old lanterns were carried by the two back handles and were "powered" by the oil burner inside behind the lens.
The signaling was done by pulling the spring controlled slide button on the lower front of the lantern to open and close a metal gate covering the oil wick's light.
Lantern is in excellent condition and stands 9 inches high and 5 1/2 inches deep.
Shipping cost of $35 included in the price of the lantern to the lower 48 U.S. States.
