C1 U.S.C.G. Seth Thomas Clock
SEMPER PARATUS! Always Ready....that's the U.S. Coast Guard's motto and this old USCG Seth-Thomas is ready to look great on your wall. From the early 1900s, the 7 inch wide clock is what was known as a "double wind." These old clock's main springs would only wind the clock for a few days. Seth-Thomas developed a double wind system which when both sides were wound fully, would run the clock for 7 days.
This clock does not have ship's bells or chimes.
In excellent condition just back from a professional mechanical clock expert, the clock has been cleaned, oiled and adjusted.
Clock has a Slow/Fast lever at the top of the face to adjust the time-keeping accuracy.
Clock is 3 1/2 inches deep and 7 inches wide with solid brass case and hinged bezel/door.
