This is a very nice, very old medium size brass anchor lantern which certainly shows its age and rough history. Now nicely restored with a number of solder patches and a few lens "chews," this old lantern shows beautifully.
It is 12 inches high and 6 inches in diameter. This lantern carries the tag of H.D.
Edwards & Co.,Ship Chandlers, Detroit, makers previously unknown to us, adding to the lantern's rarity. The lantern has its original oil pot and burner and a clear 360 degree clear glass lens.
