This large United States Navy Bureau of Ships box compass is a Mark II 1942 issue.
The compass is brass with black paint and is in a very large original mahogany box with dovetailed corners and lid.
Compass card is 7 inches in diameter, box is 11 inches x 11 inches x 7 inches with lid on.
Top reads: "The Lionel Corporation N.Y. U.S. Navy BU Ships Mark 2 1942" Distributed by Leroy M Edwards, LA, CA.
Compass was recently cleaned and is in great working condition.
