This beautiful and rare old Chelsea clock was made for the U.S. Navy. It is a true treasure. Clock face was hand engraved to read: "Chelsea Clock Co. Boston, U.S.A. U.S. Navy 0.135."
The clock face shows the numbers in roman numerals which is how all of the older clocks made by Chelsea read, the second hand is in the center rather than a sweeping hand, and the fast-slow movement is a pin rather than a dial like you see now.
Clock face is 4 inches in diameter, 5 1/2 inches over all in diameter and 2 1/2 inches in depth. Keeps great time and comes with winding key.
