C2 Wempe 2-Day Chronometer
Beautiful WEMPE double boxed ship's 2-Day chronometer built in Germany in 1961. Recently professionally inspected, conditioned and adjusted, the chronometer keeps very accurate time.
Built by the 145 year old Wempe family company in Hamburg, Germany, this 4 1/2 inch face chronometer is in its original double mahogany boxes, each in beautiful condition. We've provided a large number of photos but let us know if you require a specific shot or two.
The Chronometerwerke Wempe delivery certification, dated February, 1964 is included along with the certification sheet from the Deutches Hydrographisches Institute.
The inner box has a beveled glass top. The outer box has its original heavy leather carrying strap. Outer box is 9 3/4 inches wide, 9 1/2 inches deep and 9 inches high.
The inner box measures 7 1/4 inches wide, 7 1/4 inches deep and 7 1/4 inches high. Overall condition is excellent.
